Beverly Police Invite Community to the 29th-Annual Sean R. Connelly Memorial Christmas Toy Drive

The Beverly Police Department is inviting the community to the 29th-Annual Sean R. Connelly Memorial Christmas Toy Drive to benefit underprivileged children in the Beverly community.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Beverly Police will be at The North Beverly Plaza, 55 Dodge St., collecting new and unwrapped toys for local children.

Police are accepting board games, dolls and action figures, building blocks, art supplies, sports equipment, stuffed animals and more.

All donations will be distributed to local children in need.

The annual Toy Drive is named in honor of Officer Sean. R. Connelly, a dedicated Beverly Police officer who suffered a career-ending traumatic brain injury in a crash in 2009, leading to his forced retirement in 2012. Officer Connelly passed away in 2020, but his legacy is remembered annually during the toy drive.
